Introducing Team America + NZ

Team America + NZ is the little clique I hang out with here in Hong Kong. A fun group of five of us that like to drink, party and travel together. We just planned our first big trip together to Cebu, should be pretty amazing.

First, we have Andrew Fung. A 23-year old veteran of CUHK who also coined the term, Team America + NZ. Recently left Wall Street (unwillingly, sorry buddy) and came to Hong Kong to enjoy his second run at collegiate life. Originally from New York, this young man loves to party and flirt with hot girls. The Fungster is never afraid to impart his knowledge of CUHK on us and pesters us to invest in the Chinese Yuen. A great addition to our team.

Next is Lisa Takahashi. A soon-to-be 21-year-old from USC who currently resides in Laguna Niguel. Struggling to leave her husband behind in Los Angeles, this young woman battles the decision of going out or not on a tri-weekly basis. She might claim that I copied her class schedule, but do not let her charm fool you. This indecisive young woman is a great partier, but please be mindful of the facebook tags. Maybe a not so important member of the team.

Now for the NZ part of our team, Mandy Chan. A delightful 23-year-old from Otago, New Zealand who loves to dance. While she loves to make fun of our American lingo, she constantly surprises us with lovely phrases like “lollies,” “sweet-ass,” and “wee bit.” A good percentage of our laughs come from the miscommunication between Andrew and our little wombat, Mandy. One other tidbit, she is star-struck by tall white men.

And next we have Tracy, a 20-year-old young man from UC Berkeley. Our only fluent Mandarin speaker is certainly a valuable asset to our travels. I’m still deciding if he was an exotic dancer back at school, but I never cease to be amazed by his seductive “sex faces.” He kindly introduced me to the deliciousness that is wife cakes and is the owner of a not-so-flattering Sony camera.

Well, you should all know about me or you’re a creeper for reading my blog. Hope you enjoyed getting to know “Team America + NZ!” No worries, we should be making jackets soon hahaha.
